Ok, well heres the story... About 2 years ago i got me a 99 GS spyder, hoping nothing would go wrong but knowing after my 1g that something always goes wrong... Somehow or another the 2.4l SOHC would never go back into correct time no matter how many times I lined it up with the crank and the cam... SOOOO found me a 1400 dollar 95 GST with a 97 harness... Baught it and since there was a salvaged title on it I stripped the harness and motor out and used my friends 97 GST ECU in trade for the 95 EPROM that was in there (should have just sold it) That motor lasted for all of about ... 18 hours untill I was heading to work and the number 4 cylinder exploded...
Heres where I'm at now...
Reman motor
3g lifters
All new internals
If I'm not mistaken 258/258 cams (according to what I ordered(mild cam))
Balance shaft elem. JAM
ARP head studs
New Ebay 16g knockoff
New Exedy stage 1 clutch and flywheel
3 In. exhaust (unknown band)
And a few other things...
Anyway when I installed the motor before Iturned it noticed the motor was 180 degrees out of time.. Fixed that.
Forgot to put timing cover on..
Fixed that
***** Time to start...
Spark plugs are fuel fouled...
Injectors stuck open
Got it to start... Drove it for about 20 minutes easy as hell..
Wastegate got stuck closed on the radiator fan.. Head gasket.
Replaced that
T25 turbo found from friend
Replaced
Drove for about ... 200 miles
Coolant in oil
Checked head gasket and head
Perfect
Upon inspection turbo had a crack in the core...
New ebay 16g
EvoIII OFH ...
now having trouble mounting the oil cooler...
Now I'm wondering if I should just wait and buy the actual OFH for the 7bolt 4g63..
Or if i should just stick it out and fit the cooler on..
Anyway, The only pictures I have are the ones in my profile.. Nothing really project related..
Just putting a journal post up so people can know whats goin' on with me..
If anyone has some good mouning tips on that External oil cooler hit me up
I've been lookin' on the site and it just shows AFTER they have them mounted not really the whole process of brackets and stuff..

Update, Making the cooler work!! Today I got the oil pressure sending unit hooked up and plugged a hole, Now the only thing left I hope, would be the oil cooler to have a nicer bracket so I can start this thing!!! But I'm heading back to the garage, btw no pictures because I can't save them to this computer for some reason...
I'll get to a different one soon guys!

Ok these are the pictures, I finally got the oil cooler goin' on, Just gotta do the bottom braket tomorrow morning, and the picture of the oil line going TO the turbo leaks like a 17 year old muff, tryin' to figure out what the thread is so I can put different fitting in there seeing as how thats the one off a T25 and I'm runnin' a 16G, I have a small coolant leak, for some reason I can't find a Thermostat housing to the cyl. head gasket, And I think I might be leakin' from the thermostat, OTHER THAN THAT, the whole 5 minutes it ran, no smoke other than the manifold burning off my greasy hand prints, no knocks, sounds to be a little smoother running, just gotta cut a corner off the timing belt cover...

**** UPDATE ****
Car still having a few troubles like most DSM's when someone rushes through everything, the last thing I had troubles with was the input shaft on my transmission, so I replaced the whole transmission with an actu GST shep stage one, got it running slight knocking nose, come to find out the bo9lts holding the pressure plate into the flywheel have either come loose or broke off, now looking into the zoom stage 3 clutch... So far thats the only other thing I'm waiting on, I'll put some new pictures up here pretty soon you guys!

Holy jeebus I forgot about this journal.. Time to re-update some of you...
After that trans went in the car ran GREAT until I took it to my buddies house one night before we headed to the track and then i had some seeeeeeerious vaccuum/boost leakeage... After a new FIAV and EGR Valve gasket and some tightening and replacing of couplers, I only seem to have one boost leak keeping me from 10 lbs.. My ebay 16g was removed because I didn't feel like replacing it later, I rebuilt a T25 and had some issues with the oil drain bolting into the pan but I got that situated, now its just a matter of why my trans wouldn't disingage the other day so I put down for a fulcrum ball and a clutch fork with a new flywheel (aluminum fidanza) and a 2.1 clutch and PP.. Should be back on the road by tuesday if I bust ass and pay attention.. I'm looking for either a FP ex. manifold or maybe a stock 2g exh. manifold so I can port and polish it as well as porting the turbo where the manifold meets, but ayway thats about the short update I have, soon to put the new rear camber kit in and save some money on tires... After that guys I think this thing is gonna get a battery relocate and some wire hiding.. I'll try to get some new pics once the trans is re-installed and the rest of the car is up to par for my camera!
