Quest for a 9 second true stree car

So the goal of this car is to run consisant 9 second passes and still have all the creature comforts one would like in a car. 2013 was definitely going to be the year to do it in my mind. I dropped 500lbs off the car very cleanly with the help of carbon fiber parts and this should have been enough to hopefully touch the 9 second mark. But who needs "hopefully or probably"? So to ensure I got into the 9's with ease only the FP Black would due. Oh, did I mention this is all on street tires :)?

So I'd like to have a moment of silence for the FP Red, she has pushed a heavy hog deep into the 10's on street tires and dyno'd over 600hp, she will be missed. Don't worry, she's going to a great home and you'll be seeing her do some more amazing acts soon enough.

FP Black is almost ready to show off her goodies on the dyno, next week she'll be dialed in and ready to rage on any that challenge her.

Thanks guys :).

Yeah Jeff Built the car and sold it to a guy that really knew nothing about cars and especially DSM's. I think he was a a point in life where he wanted to remember those youthful days but not do anything to the vehicle :/, he was a super nice guy though and didn't try to hide anything.

I've actually talked to Jeff to see exactly what he'd done to the car so I knew where to go from.

Fun fact: Jeff and Lucas ran a 10.5 with his car on street tires and a pretty horrid speed density tune. It was when it first became popular and they were just learning the SD ropes. Makes you wonder what they could do with her now =D. Luckily for me a great tuner lives only a few miles from me (Dacogod).

Jeff got 617 awhp out of the current setup on a FFRed. That really shows the quality of work these guys do. Actually Jeff gave me guidance in the steps needed to reach my lofty goal.

My goals are mainly 1/4 but by some rough estimates she'll need to be 800+ hp

It's a blast, we (Dacogod) got her tuned for pump today and when we went to get gas he knew of a E85 pump so we finished the tune on Corn :D
